This is the 47th year that the Illinois Jaycees have selected and honored outstanding
young people from throughout the state of Illinois. This year’s program represents the 28th
year for the Illinois JCI Senate to sponsor this event, on behalf of the Illinois Jaycees. The
Outstanding Young Person’s program has been run since 1965. The Illinois Jaycee Senate
has been hosting the program on behalf of the Jaycees since 1984.

This year’s TOYP Honors Program is being held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the
Springfield Hilton in conjunction with the Illinois Jaycees’ Spring General Assembly
Meeting. Nomination forms are due February 1, 2012. Forms will be available on the
Illinois Jaycees and Illinois JCI Senate Web sites.

Blue Chip Submissions

The Chip program results in well rounded, healthy chapters.  The requirements are designed to ensure that chapters offer balanced programming for its members.  The Chip program is a guideline for a chapter’s yearly plan of action.  This guideline will ensure that a chapter is a well balanced/well-rounded chapter. Green Chip is for new extensions.  Blue Chip is for established chapters.  Red Chip takes chapters from probationary status to full status.

Required in your initial submission is the following items:

  • 2012 Chapter Plan of Action
    • Chapter Officer Directory
    • Calendar Events
    • Chapter Budget
    • Membership Plan
  • Sign-in sheet from your chapter planning session
  • Copy of the following
    • Constitution & ByLaws
    • Chapter Incorporation
    • Liability Insurance

All documents should be sent to BlueChip@iljaycees.org by February 22nd for the initial submission.

UN Millennium Development Goals

The Illinois Jaycees along with the US Jaycees have adopted the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) as its public policy platform for 2012.

The MDGs are 8 ambitious goals set by the United Nations to address some of the most pressing needs of the United States and the World.  

These include:

  1. Ending Poverty and hunger
  2. Universal Education
  3. Gender Equality
  4. Child Health
  5. Maternal Health
  6. Combat HIV/AIDS and other diseases
  7. Environmental Sustainability
  8. Global Partnership

In achieving these goals we will not only help ourselves, but will also make an IMPACT in the world.

The Tournament is ON!

Malaria Kills. Send a net. Save a life.Starting Jan 17th through April 30th, our goal is to have Each Chapter raise money to purchase 16 NETS for Nothing But Nets!

Each week, your will get a scoreboard report of your “Teams” standing.  16 weeks to raise $160.  Think of all the Lives you can save!

All “Teams” that meet or exceed the goal will win fabulous prizes!  Top Scoring Team wins a stellar prize!

1 Net= $10= Lives Saved!

Make An Impact in all that you do.

The Jaycees provides each of us opportunties to create positive change, meet a group of aggressive young people and take part in worthwhile projects.
