Did you know that Chicago will be the host city of the 2011 US Jaycee National Convention? The convention will be held June 7-11th at the Wyndham Hotel in Lisle, IL.

We need a logo that will be used on all convention material as well as the US Jaycee website.

Are you a graphic artist, an artist or someone with creative talent that is interested in designing a logo that all will see? The logo should include the US Jaycee swoosh and also incorporate "Chicago".

The Pittsburgh convention logo Incorporated bridges since Pittsburgh is known as a city of bridges. The New Orleans Logo includes Marti Gras masks. What do you think our logo should include? Perhaps the city skyline? You decide. You can submit multiple logos for consideration.

Deadline for submission is April 1st. Please let me know you are planning to submit a logo so I can communicate to US Jaycees that we have Illinois Jaycees working on it. What else do we need for Chicago 2011?

We will need DJ services, staging, airport transportation, dinner decorations and/or flowers, plaques, bussing companies, tourism tours, potential locations for Welcome party, and more.

We also need volunteers. Most of the volunteers will be needed during the convention. However, we still need people to help solicit sponsors, lead an ad book and help coordinate welcome party or develop a list of things to see. The US Jaycees is also looking for a registration chairman and a hotel room chairman.
